This portico addition extends an interior front entry bump-out to provide cover for entering guests while dressing up the approach and the view from the street.

This front portico addition is part of a larger exterior remodel including painting the existing siding and brick all one color and adding new double hung and casement windows and trim to replace the existing sliding windows. The gable roof of the portico replaces an existing shed roof and clearly marks the entrance in a way that fits with the large double door. All these elements add detail through the trim and the contrast of dark siding with the white trim allows those details to stand out.
